JOB TITLE: DELIVERY DRIVER
DEPARTMENT: SALES
REPORTS TO: CHIEF
EXECUTIVE OFFICER / CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SUPERVISOR
1. JOB PURPOSE
The Delivery Driver will pick
up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. You
should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that
the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct
client.
To succeed as a Delivery
Driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our
clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring orders
are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about
satisfying clients.
The Customer Service
Supervisor is responsible for their assigned team’s sales productivity, and
directs their effort in order to have the greatest overall impact on company
results.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
a) Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients
or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
b) Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure
that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is
satisfied.
c) To follow through with the order of customers on the
handheld.
d) Assisting with loading and unloading items from
vehicles.
e) Accepting payments for delivered items.
f) Providing excellent customer service, answering
questions, and handling complaints from clients.
g) Adhering to assigned routes and following time
schedules.
h) Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a
safe driving record.
i) Preparing reports and other documents relating to
deliveries for timely submission to the CSR Supervisor.
j) Operating equipment and machines, such as cars,
trucks, etc.
k) To be SOLELY responsible for all stock, money and
deliveries.
3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Understand customer needs and offer solutions and
support
b) Organize and coordinate schedules
c) Research potential leads from business directories,
web searches, or digital resources
d) Receive and report on all sales
e) Answer potential customer questions and follow-up call
questions
f) Work with sales assistant
g) Meet all sales quotas and goals

KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
a)
Minimum of 3
CSEC passes inclusive of Mathematics and English A.
b)
Valid
driver's license – Classes 3 and 4 with minimum of 3 years’ experience with
Class 4 license.
c)
Clean driving
record.
d)
Experience
may be required or preferred.
e)
Willingness
to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation
laws.
f)
Strong time
management and customer service skills.
g)
Ability to
walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
h)
Attention to
detail.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
a)
Knowledge, understanding and application of the company's HSE Policy and
relevant legislation.
b)
Ensure conformance to the HSE Program.
c)
Attendance and participation at HSE meetings and appointments.
d)
Cooperate with HSE when performance appraisals are being conducted.
e)
Conduct physical condition tours of their work areas.
f)
Awareness of the status of corrective actions.
g)
To be held accountable for HSE performance in their area of operation.
h)
To ensure that all company HSE policies are enforced
i)
To provide information and instructions to employees in order to ensure
the effective implementation of the HSE program.
j)
To be aware of all traffic laws and abide by them.
k)
To ensure your safety and that of others while driving.
l)
To ensure necessary checks are made with the vehicles on a daily basis.
m) To report any non-
conformances on truck to management.
